The Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra certainly hasn't been humiliated in the French capital but has been thrown out of Sanjay Gadhvi’s upcoming movie 7 Days In Paris. Priyanka Chopra, the sizzling hot sexy bombshell who was approached by Dhoom director Sanjay Gadhvi for his upcoming flick 7 Days In Paris, has been thrown out of the project due to her outrageous demand of Rs 5 crore for working in the film.

Sources say that initially the producers and director Sanjay Gadhvi were taken aback at the beautiful lass’ demand but later tried to reason it out to some reasonable level. However, Piggy Chops was adamant on getting the full amount of Rs 5 crore if she was wanted in the film. Finally, Sanjay Gadhvi, who had directed the super duper hit film ‘Dhoom’ with Hrithik and Aishwarya for Yashraj, decided to dump Priyanka and wait for some other bollywood babe to work in the film.

However, as ‘7 Days in Paris’ is scheduled to go on the floors by next month, director Sanjay Gadhvi has already initiated talks with other bollywood hot babes. Sources reveal that Gadhvi is already in advanced stage of talks with southern sensation Asin, who had made her bollywood debut opposite Aamir Khan in ‘Ghajni’.

'New York' on the way of turning big·gest hit in 2009

Yash Raj Films' latest release and Kabir Khan directed film "New York" has taken an extremely good opening at the box office and is seeing a rapid growth in positive word of mouth with every passing show. The film has done wonders at the box office and has clearly seen one of the most positive box office responses of the year 2009 so far.


"New York is the first film of 2009 that can be declared a 'hit.' The film has had an excellent opening and has finally brought people back to the theatres," says Komal Nahta, editor of The Film Street Journal. Nahta adds that Slumdog Millionaire had done good business too, but New York is the first Hindi film to do so.

Devang Sampat of the Cinemax chain of cinemas compares the opening of New York to that of Ghajini, which broke records when released last year. "It's getting better. It had a 70 per cent occupancy rate across all Cinemax theatres on Friday, which went up to 90 per cent on Saturday. Also, the feedback on the film has been mostly positive," says Sampat, adding that the response has been unanimously good in cities like Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and in Gujarat.
